A line of showers and storms has developed in PA with a front and it is moving east. Heavy rains, frequent lightning, and winds gusts may occur with any storms tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN CAMDEN and NORTHWESTERN GLOUCESTER counties UNTIL 1:30AM. Radar detected rain falling at a rate of 2 inches per hour. Flooding may occur. Do not drive your vehicle into water covered roads. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. 1 foot of flowing water could sweep your vehicle off the roadway. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially careful at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Danny Appears on Radar
Bands of showers and storms partially from Tropical Storm Danny are beginning to appear on Northeast radar. Danny remains very disorganized and winds are at 40mph. It's moving NNE at 12 mph. It should turn more NE tonight and stay offshore. Danny will likely not strengthen any more and should stay a weak tropical storm. The impacts from Danny will be some rough surf, higher than normal waves, rip currents, minor beach erosion, and some showers not directly associated from Danny. Swim near a lifeguard and follow their directions. The showers and heavy storms tonight will bring heavy rain with some flash flooding possible, gusty winds, and some lightning. They will continue tonight into tomorrow morning. Storms will taper a little tomorrow, but there will still be a chance for an isolated storm. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for SALEM, GLOUCESTER, and CAMDEN counties THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING for the possibility of another 1-2" of rain tonight with locally higher amounts likely. Flash flooding may occur around small streams and creeks and in areas of poor drainage.

Flash flooding may occur in low lying areas and generally any place that floods during heavy rain. If you encounter any flooded roads turn around, don't drown. FLOOD ADVISORIES are in effect for ATLANTIC and CAPE MAY counties UNTIL 3:00PM. Gusty winds and cloud to ground lightning are also possible with any stronger storms. These scattered storms with heavy rain should continue into tonight and early tomorrow morning.

Tropical Storm Danny
It's official! Tropical Storm Danny has formed in the Atlantic located about 445 miles from Nassau in the Bahamas. Maximum sustained winds are around 45 mph and it's moving WNW at around 18 mph. Here's the satellite image for Danny:

11AM This Morning:

It's hard to see but notice where the dot is. That is the center and circulation of Danny. Notice all the clouds east of the center. Those clouds need to wrap around the storm for it to strengthen.
Track
The models were in disagreement but I think they might be starting to come together.
8AM Yesterday:

11AM This Morning:

As you can see from the top two pictures the models seem to be coming into agreement. The 6z GFS and NAM did shift farther this morning. I think Danny will be more west than were Bill was and make it to a Cat. 1 hurricane when it's off the coast of the Outer Banks. It should stay off the coast but closer than Bill. I will have a full update tonight.

What We're Working On & What's New
Here are some things that SJWC is working on and what's new:
- We have four new weather cams on the Wildwood Boardwalk. Three are courtesy of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce and one is courtesy of Earth Cam. Hope you enjoy them and they are helpful to you.
- We are discontinuing our Toolbar. It was hard to update and we only had 3 downloads. If you have you can keep it but it won't be updated.
- Getting a brand new video network with tropical video updates every day.
- Getting a new page called "Marine Weather Central" which has weather info for boaters, surfers, and fisherman.
- Getting a new advertising plan that will be released soon.
The new pages and advertising plan may be out sometime in September.
